So I went to the Brian Redman International Challenge (BRIC),with my Father. The BRIC is a Vintage race car event, for those of you who dont know.

I was about to go into the Tent to get my Autogragh from Mario Andretti, when I noticed the start of a Race coming up the main stretch. I could see the tops of the cars only due to the concrete barrier. I saw 2 cars get together, then hell broke loose.

Cars were just cresting the hill were the accident occured and started plowing into the pile at top speed. cars over the top, under, up the barrier.

It made me sick for the rest of the day. Thank GOD nobody was seriously hurt.

such a sad state to see those precious machines in a wrek. The total cost of all those cares is absolutely staggering. Then think about what each of those cars mean. Money can't pay for history.............

Wow, that sucks big time. At least some of those cars don't look like one-of-a-kinds (like that Porsche)--so parts will be available to get them back together again (the ones that can be saved that is). They probably have some real good racing/vintage car insurance to take that kind of risk. That's an awful pick, and on such a nice day too.

i can definately see how that happened. coming up that hill at full speed is like racing with a blindfold on. did you actually see the wreck happen or just the aftermath?

no serious injuries right, man that brings a tear to my eye, no great machine should have to endue a wreck like that, now if it were geo's and aspire's, let them burn, but not those
