Rm lamp relay location

I have a 1995 300xz 2 dr, non turbo. When the doors are opened the floor lights work OK, not the dome lite. When you move the switch on the dome light to the on position it works, but not in the door position.
I was told to buy a Room lamp relay and install it in the unit in back of the drivers seat which is what my maint. maual shows and what the Nissan dealer told me.
When I took everything apart to install the relay I found the unit in back of the seat is a "fuel pump Control Unit" and there is no relay there???
Does anybody know where this relay is on the car???
