So i got some ticking valves and Im going to try to add some rislone tonight. although i dont think it will fully remedy anything immediately, as ive heard its a long term oil additive. I am hoping it will quiet down the ticking a bit. I found a few posts on other forums regarding its use and effectiveness but not much on Nico.
can anyone tell me if they have used rislone on a KA24E? any effects? ill be posting before and after videos sooner or later.

Ps- read the "ticking lifter" tutorial, it needs an update and i hope to remedy this. I will be removing valve cover and checking lifters this weekend, just no time tonight.

Thanks, I was read about 3 pages in before posting here after not seeing much recent stuff on here, might be worth a new thread. I figure it's all very circumstantial to the engine and how has been run etc. I had the bottom end of my engine rebuilt and had the head checked about 2k ago and was warned of the lifters but couldn't afford to take action immediately. Well long story short I fell victim to negligence not of my hand and now I believe it has lead to my valves ticking or something. The sound is mostly under acceleration load and starts around 2k.
So fellow Niconauts, here we go... Car on jacks in 10.

drove the car like normal today and Im going to go ahead and say, Yes - there was a difference. the ticking during acceleration has softened but is not completely gone. YAY, valve inspection this weekend!
