what are the risk turning my car up to ten pounds with my stock sr20det, with a few upgrades, 255 fuel pump, fmic?

like major decrease in gas efficiency?risk of blowing seals on turbo?injectors crapping out ?somehow running rich?is a fuel cut expected anywhere? and if so, where?do i need a tune?

Some of those answers would be nice for sure. What year SR20 do you have?

I know everyone will tell you that a tune will always be beneficial. I'm getting an S14 SR20 and may want to do the same thing and will end up getting a tune.

its a 93 SR

and i called 3 dyno shops in the area and they said that the ecu should handle and extra 3 psi of boost and it should adjust itself with no problems

you research anything that could help out ?

Even though the NICO search engine is not optimal IMO, try google. This will keep you from getting flamed.

I found a few helpful sites that mention 10psi is a good place to stop at with a mostly stock setup using the T25. The FMIC upgrade seems to be the first step many people did. With the ceramic, 14-15psi supposedly starts to cause alot of wear from the heat. From there, probably injectors.

I'll probably try to stick to about 10psi using the T28. (Assuming I actually GET an engine...long story).

Search around, you'll find some more stuff and probably the same stuff I came across. I still say doing a tune always seems to be a good idea. It may cost a bit, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

of course you will lose a little MPG. more air is more fuel. nothing else will be a problem bumping up 2-3lbs since you have the walbro.

I am running 11psi on the t25 with a fmic, 3 inch exhaust, walbro 255, and safc2 with a dyno tune on E85. No problems, but the turbo is about maxed out. guessing about 240 hp. sure is fun to drive
