Social Security and Medicare and the 53 trillion dollar asteroid. Okay, I’m not a financial genius, in fact, what I know about finance couldn’t fill a page using 20 point text. But I do know that you need to put more money in the bank each month than you take out. We’ve all got a personal interest in this one though.. We’ve paid for it. It would be nice if it was there. It may not though.

You might think that I'm talking about the recession (sorry: potential recession) or credit crisis, but I'm thinking bigger. Much, much bigger.Let me give you three numbers that will put this economic asteroid into perspective: $200 billion, $14.1 trillion, and $53 trillion.

And the current glamor boy of the Dem party is wanting to further expand welfare/poverty based initiatives to a global level.

As long as they feel good about it I guess it's OK? Seems to be to them.

I know I'm starting to sound like Telcoman and his 87 octane wonder-G35, but does anyone else see over population as one of the roots to many of our problems?

Specifically over population of low-class, ignorant people (I don't mean that in an offensive manner, I mean true ignorance)?

I think we need the technology, just not the reverse darwinism that accompanies it.
