I have a small rip (puncture) in my rear seat leather. I drove for lunch today and a female co-worker was seated in the back .... but when I placed my laptop bag on the seat after work I saw a puncture - I believe it's from her fingernail. It the size of a dime. What can be done now?

Something similar to your situation happened to me a while back. In the front seat there was a rip about 1 cm in between the leather perforations. It happened because the leather was a cracked at that spot. I just wanted a quick solution to this problem so it wouldn't rip more, so i used crazy glue/super glue and that seemed to fix the problem permanently. The repair was basically unnoticeable to to they eye unless you were staring at it about 6 inches away. I think using crazy glue in my situation was the right thing to do. i know i could have bought a leather patch kit but since the leather is perforated i believe the results wouldn't be as great.

Is the rip in the perforated area of the seat or the non perforated area?

Thanks M4503transporterI've googled solutions and that tip was one of them. The puncture is in the the perforated area. This one is somewhat noticeable since it appears to be a depression tear ( I think it happened as she was get in or out of the car).I don't want to use any of those leather repair kits I saw online myself. I think I'm going to take it to one of the better leather upholstery shops in my area.It sucks since I've had the car for about 3 weeks now. Now I know why many people are particular about their cars with passengers.... stupid things like this can waste time and money. Femi
