so, about a week ago, i get a call early in the morning from a buddy (i keep my 240 parked in his driveway) and he tells me that my car was crashed into.

apperently, an oldman that lives across the street who ive known for a while now was backing his pickup truck out of his driveway, passed out at the wheel due to some new meds and with his foot on the pedal, cruised across the street, up into the driveway and into my 240. also damaged 2 SC300's but those were just minor bumber damages. my car was the one hit and took the brunt of the force.

a decent amount of body damage was done, driverside door window/quarter panel broken. probably some minor driver side steering damage.

its total loosed due to the body damage. with me keeping the car, i also get 1677 bucks for it.
id love to buy another 240 and swap my sr20 into it but the illegality issues of it with smog and everything has just become too impractical over the years.

i am going to part it outand get what i can for the parts i put into it, however i am going to keep the motor for a future plan to build a 510 (smog exempt:) not anytime soon though.

if anybody is local to orange county and might want something to throw together for a track car and is handy with there own body work, ill let u pick it up for free after i take my parts and motor out of it. send me an email if interested and ill send send some pics, i dont realy feel like creating a photobucket account to post them in the forum.

That sucks man. Good for you passing the car onto whoever wants it though.

Sorry for your loss :( Good luck with whatever you're building next.
