I thought the same thing after I read "Porsche GT" in an article and just knew it wasn't a GT2/3.Bubba1 wrote:After learning the identity of the car, I'm not so shocked it crashed.
The driver, Roger Rodas, was Brian's financial analyist and a SCCA World Challenge driver. He was not inexperienced. Which makes this obvious gross display of excessive speed on the street that much worse. A Pro driver should have known better. But no, now we have a completely senseless loss of life.Bubba1 wrote:It's sad, especially when you consider he was sitting in the passenger seat, so how can you blame him? After learning the identity of the car, I'm not so shocked it crashed. Carrera GT's are insanely fast. 650hp stock and this one was modded somehow. Carrera GT's inspire confidence in ordinary driving but are downright tricky when cornering at its limit. (good friend of mine owned one and used it as a track toy for a few years). Driving very high speed in a ground effects car on an uneven public road is a sure-fire recipe for disaster even if you are an experienced driver. Beginning to sound like that was the case here.
Many Hollywood actors could really learn a lot from this. At least he used his money to help others, rather than spending it on cocaine and other equally useless substances..Hijacker wrote:I agree with Bex. But to add a bit. His off screen activities far outweigh anything he did on screen. He donated money to good causes, raised awareness on a multitude of issues, and was generally a great human being. I'm very saddened to hear of this.
Indeed, the Stig struggled with the CGT too.simmode1 wrote:Bubba1 wrote:It's sad, especially when you consider he was sitting in the passenger seat, so how can you blame him? That's troubling to hear. What a frightening way to go.simmode1 wrote:Coroner's report of the autopsy says he definitely was alive as he burned. Carcinogens were found in his lungs, meaning he was breathing in all the burning fumes. Most terrible way to go that I can think of. I can only hope that at least he was unconscious from the collision trauma...
The sad part is I think there's probably someone out there stupid enough to pay that price.Rogue One wrote:Paul Walker’s ‘Fast & Furious’ Nissan Skyline GT-R on sale for $1.4 million, nearly triple previous asking price.

With the death of ‘Fast & Furious’ star Paul Walker, the owner of a Nissan Skyline GT-R that allegedly was driven by the actor in the fourth film of the franchise is ready to turn a profit. While the car was originally on sale for around $400,000 before the actor’s death, the price has since nearly tripled to a new asking price of $1.4 million.
Turns out it could be fake, or possibly one that was stolen. http://www.torquenews.com/1080/paul-wal ... le-it-hoaxBubba1 wrote:The sad part is I think there's probably someone out there stupid enough to pay that price.Rogue One wrote:Paul Walker’s ‘Fast & Furious’ Nissan Skyline GT-R on sale for $1.4 million, nearly triple previous asking price.
