Oh man! That really bums me out.

IIRC... he was more focused on the industrial benefits of the plant, such as the fibers, oils, etc... I watched a documentary about him that said NORML refused to recognize (and support) his efforts for legalization since he put such little emphasis on the medicinal and psychoactive properties. I'm pretty sure they eventually worked together, but I really respect that guy for all he's done for that cause.
