Indian Larry, recent national fame courtesy of Discovery Channel and the slew of chopper shows, sadly died from injuries suffered in a crash:(

I hope that when I die it's doing something I love. Preferably a hot chick.

That does really suck. He made some incredible works of art (AKA kick *** bikes) during his life. RIP. :(

No surprise really. An accomplished man, but with full respect to him, I hope this convinces more guys to wear their helmets. I had to learn the hard way as well.

I agree that helmets should be worn, however....

This man had over 35 years experience building bikes and being a stunt biker. He died while performing a stunt. Knowing what I know about the stunts he performed, there's a better than average chance that even a helmet probably wouldn't have saved his life.

Aside from what an all around cool guy he was, one of the things that impressed me the most was the Biker Buildoff where he went up against Billy Lane.

Billy's bike wasn't running right. Indian Larry jumped right in to help him even though they were competing against each other. THe producer of the show even told Larry he could force the other guy to forfiet and Larry said, "No. I can't do that. That's just not right. If he wins, he wins. If I win, I win."

Now how many people would truely do that for someone they were competing against.
