Not long ago, I started getting small cracks in the leather on my driver's doors armrest. These cracks have since torn open, and the dealer has given me a somewhat ridiculous quote to fix it, but I was curious if this was a common issue with the generation. The car has ~66k miles and the rest of the interior is in great shape.

Thanks

I know IlyaKol's arm rest broke. I can definitely feel that mine is softer right where my elbow sits then other spots and it does have some small cracks and wear. No tears yet though.

My leather is fine, but the 'plastic' or whatever underneath it caved in. I can feel it with my index finger. I must have punctured it with my pointy elbow. Dealer will be looking at it when I go back to get my interior lights issue fixed (they are waiting on a harness).

My pointy elbows have worn through the leather in a couple of arm rests. Find a good leather upholstery shop. They can probably match it pretty close. I only paid $75 to replace the leather on the arm rest in my old QX4.
