The famous T3, 475,000 miles Q45 burned a valve the other day.

It was driven HARD it's entire life and itwent out the way we all expected it to:

During a triple digit race against a G35 (which it was winning a large margin, sorry G35'ers;)..)

Charles is now driving a M30 Convertible.

A moment of silence please.

Fred....:oface

The problem is the 94 Q engine will lose rod bearings long before the heads need replacing...[some where between that time the ring wear will have shown up without Mobil 1].......you can go for another 100k after the valve stem seals start to leak.......a little blue smoke on start up.

Cheaper to change a whole engine than to swap heads [chains and retime]............tough work with the engine in the car!

They are confused it has a bad ring in #7 and it is a 90 anyway!

Fred,

I'm curious as well, what year is the T-3 Q?Was the tripple digit race from a dead stop? If so that would be impressive. No doubt in my mind the Q would smoke the G35 from 25mph on up....not many cars can hang around once the Q hits 4,000 RPM's!!

Uh, we drive 13-year old cars. The last vestiges of shame disappeared years ago.

That's really too bad about the Q. I take they're not going to fix unless they just have to have a 500,000+ mile Q. At 251,000 I'm nowhere near close but doing my best to catch up.

RIP T3 Q
