Help me nico i've got my engine torn apart ordered gasket kit, water pump, fuel pump, and ARP headstuds. Im about to choose a clutch but now im confused. Can i take out my rods and crank to inspect the bearings? Can I just get some ACL standard size bearings and just put them in as long as plastiguage says clearance is good. Also, with my 115 compression test and 13% leak down should i put in new rings even tho i think the head gasket was blown.... I wish i had more money to go forged.

I just realized im spending 200$ to put it back together and if i have to break it open again guess what another 200. I need some last opinions before i start rtving it back together!

id do rings, bearings and new gaskets to save you the trouble of not having to take it back apart again

I did rings and bearings when i tore my motor apart and will never regret it. I just did a fresh set of WPC treated OEM bearings. My motor turns extremely smooth and run quite strong.

I would definitely suggest the WPC treated oem bearings.
