You might get a loaner car.
I guess in some way you'll get a new car. How about an EX that doesn't make that annoying noise....
The part number is for a countermeasure engine control computer. I say bring the keys just in case. Instead of potentially having to make a special trip (if the programming is lost). There is about half a dozen specific things that need to be set to properly "tune" the computer to the car. Everything from the VIN number to the base throttle position, all the base parameters must be reset too. I can tell you from experience that sometimes the key memory is lost and if all the keys happen to be there it makes turnaround significantly faster.
When you speak with the service people have some patience please. Many dealer have a central call center and the people making your appointment have never opened the hood on their cars. They will not know anything. You may actually have a bit of a challenge ahead of you finding someone who has seen this before and knows that there is an active countermeasure part that is no longer on unit restriction.
If you have an open CA file it might be time to check into it.
I would not be surprised if there is a tsb soon, but there might not be. In the real world it only effects a small segment of Gs and EXs and an even smaller segment of the owners can hear it.
