I find that the problem with most "help" programs is, they only treat the symptoms, they don't cure the disease. If America is serious about "helping" people then we need to quit rewarding irresponsible behavior and look at the root cause of societal problems. This woman is f*** ing ignorant. You can't help her, she's terminal. Somewhere in her neighborhood, though, is a child growing up in the same environment that created her.
What are the factors that lead to the level of stupidity we see exhibited here? Attack those. Clean up the neighborhood. Grow business in the area to provide steady jobs and a reason to invest in the area. Crush crime through the elimination of stupid laws and the enforcement of ones that fight behavior that contributes to the trouble. Train and expect more of the police and put them in the neighborhood, not cruising through it and PAY THEM! Police work is such a crucial civic function and we pay these people nothing for the risks they take and what they are expected to do. Is it any wonder we see bad cops? Demand responsible parents, punish deadbeat dads who think it's acceptable to knock a girl up and roll on, don't encourage "baby mommas" by rewarding their factory vaginas with a bigger welfare check. Strengthen the family units. Improve schools so kids from the poorer neighborhoods have a fighting chance to realize a higher standard of living than their parents. Just like the cops, teachers are shaping young minds and have as much daily contact with kids as parents do, sometimes more. We pay them so little, give them very little support on the homefront, pack their classrooms with knuckleheads, push rote memorization over real learning and wonder why kids drop out or graduate dumb as f***.
That's not what we do in America. We turn a blind eye to the environments we allow our people to grow up in and then give them apology checks and expect nothing from them for the rest of their lives. That's the wrong tactic and can only create more people like this. It's not real charity is guilt appeasement. This is why most liberals piss me off. Their sympathy is self-serving and insulting. They don't do things to help people for the sake of helping people. They do it so they can feel better about themselves. That's s*** and more repugnant than blatant hatred because it's wrapped in a friendly smile; it's sneaky.
