hey guys i just got some new wheels for my s13 its my first set so i dont really know much about wheel fitment and what not,but i put the rim on the rear just to see how it looks and my lowering spring is hitting my rim not letting it go on all the way,the rim is too wide i believe. they are 18x9.5 offset +35.what do i need to do to make them fit? thanks in advance

LOL... you're gonna need way more than a 5mm to fit 9.5's up front.

to the OP... to effectively fit those... youre gonna need to get down to the +15 offset category..

so from what... a +35 to get to a +15, you'll need 20mm spacers. They have bolt on spacers that you attach to your hub so you don't have to get extended studs.

Not sure about s13's, but i think maybe 15mm spacer might do it. Like i said, i know nothing about s13's. =] I had to have spacer up front on my s14 to fit a 10" wide +24 offset wheels.

Is that right? I have Tein coilovers and can run a 17x10 +35 and still have 3/4" to spare in the back. I had Intrax springs on AGX's before that and the thickness in the coils was minimal.

oh... I was talking in regards to the front. You have plenty room in the rear for high offsets. Hell, Toby did a 10" +44 in his s13 for the rears.

s13's and s14's are pretty close as far as fitment and suspension go. I'd say that s14s have a bit more play as far as wheel fitment under the fenders (more forgiving for lower offsets).

Something is wrong with your setup.... i've personally seen that setup on more than one car, and it fits with springs/struts and coilovers. Hell i've even test fitted that with plenty of room.

Pictures would help maybe?

Pics would be great. You are missing the big picture here though. An 18x9.5 +35 should bolt on with no clearance issues. Your wheel is hitting the spring and for the life of me, I can not think of a single reason why it would.
