Would 15x6.5 rims that were for a J or an I work for a Q...or is the Q too heavy for them?

My '94 had 15 x 6.5 rims originally. We call those the "Pie Plates".

IMO, any OEM rim, manufactured for Infiniti, would be fine for the Q.

Lots of folks run their old Qs with G, I, and J rims without any problems. Go for it! But I want to see pictures. :D

At this point I think the prudent individual would ask himself, "Why didn't Infiniti specify these wheels then for the Q, and instead specify others?"

It's easy to advise others to accept risks that the OEM did not. Whose advice would you heed?

I wouldn't put any less faith in a wheel off another Infiniti than I would an aftermarket wheel.

When in doubt, look at the back side of the wheel. In most cases, you'll find a size designation, max load rating, and other useful info.
