Hey, anyone think these rims will be good for a 2005 2.5s Altima? What exactly will you need to do when you get new rims and tires? Will I need to take it to a mechanic or do it myself? Oh, and does anybody have any advice about getting a better exhaust system for the 05 2.5s? I've been looking into some Flowmasters. I'm really new to this haha. I want to make this car my own. Thanks a ton!!

Just make sure you order those wheels with the correct offset and bolt pattern for your Altima and you'll be set. What size were you planning on going with? I personally wouldn't go over 18" on the Alty...but that's all up to your preference. Wheel width will affect offset.

The bolt pattern for your car (as with all 5-lug Nissans) is 5x114.3mm.

Take a look at this thread for more info on choosing wheels for your car.

I'll let some Altima owners chime in with thier aftermarket exhaust recommendations.

Listen to MinisterofDOOM and make sure you research the offset to go with the width you want to run. You should really look in the wheels/tires section before making an expensive purchase like that. Depends on your tire size selection as well. There's a lot to think about with this subject and you want to be sure your ducks are in a row before pulling the trigger.

As far as exhausts go, please do not get a flowmaster. That would be like being in the market for some new tennis shoes and looking at L.A. Gear. There are far better brand name exhausts than flowmaster for the altima.

In all honesty...I've never been a fan of huge wheels...yet I was quite taken with a wheel made by Kasino called the Joker....so I went big. I strapped 20" wheels wrapped in P245/35R20 Nitto NT555's on a 2004 altima SE. I have absolutely no problems minus having to get a wheel alignment (I've been neglecting that ever before I put them on). As long as you grab a set of 5X4.5 +42 offset....go as big as you want. The owner of the shop I went through to get my package said he threw 22"s on his. I personally would stick with a max of 20" if you're going big to steer clear of rubbing in sharp turns.

18" are the perfect size anything bigger is just too BLAH.. if you can afford good rims and tires you should look into the full stillen exhust.. sounds great and looks good too .. make sure you get a cold air intake for that little something if you dont have one yet.

stillen is awesome! i just got the high flow intake, full exhaust and the headers. i'm putting the headers on today but just with the intake and exhaust, the car was much improved.

no. but if you get a high flow cat and attach that, then it is. you'd have to cut the pipe but at least you're legal.
