Someone explained this to me a while back. I kinda understand the concept now, but probably not enough to explain it to somebody else. I think it was to do with the wheel manufacturer adding material to the front side of a wheel's face rather than the back side.

Hopefully someone will come in and clarify what I can't really put into words here. I don't really have any experience with (or much interest in) these kinda of multipiece wheels...

no it dosnt have to have a bigger lip, usually yes they just shift the center of the wheel back on the barrell so it has a bigger lip but it looks to me like they kept the same point and made the design more concave by just looking at the numbers

lip is determined by where the spokes are mounted to the barrell , you can have a negative offset and it mount at the outside of hte barrell and it be concave or it could mount in the middle and have 1/2 the barrell as a lip or at the very back (never happened) and have almost the entire wheel as a lip

these wheels look pretty sick so yeah you almost coulnt go wrong with either the -15 or the +5 since the wheel is 10" wide

hope this helped

the purpose of having different disk sizes is to accommodate for those that have a big brake kits

The effects of wheel offset have mainly to do with the forces that are exerted on wheel-bearings. Most manufactured vehicles come with a wheel offset that is designed to minimize the load on the wheel-bearings. In a vehicle with poor wheel offset many problems can manifest. Badly offset wheels can cause handling problems, break parts, and even cause catastrophic failures to occur. Properly offset wheels, however, improve handling and decrease component wear and tear, especially while cornering.

There are three potential types of wheel offset including neutral offset, positive offset, and negative offset. Neutral offset is also sometimes referred to as "zero offset" and means that the hub mounting of the wheel is directly aligned with the true centerline of the wheel. Positive offset means that the hub mounting is closer to the front of the wheel (closer to the outside that faces the street). Negative offset, on the other hand, means that the hub mounting is close to the back of the wheel (closer to the inside that faces the vehicle).
