I have a 94 Nissan 240sx Convertible.
I was checking some wheels for my 240 and came across Mustang Wheels 17x9 & 17x10.5 SVT Deep Dish.
(http://www.mustangwheels.net/Parts/Deep ... heels.html) these are cheap and in my opinion,
looks better than XXR.
I want something different.
ok, I was wondering if I need to roll my rear to get the 17X10.5 to fit or just get smaller tires?
any opinions would be great!

1) Depends on which XXR wheel you're talking about. The new 526 is a killer.
2) The 17x10.5 have a +27 offset. A roll would be advised if you want to run anything wider than a 255 tire.
3)If you have rucas, a little negative camber can reduce fender work.

so I could run 17 X10.5 with no roll on the rear fender right? will a little camber work on the rear make the rims fit with no roll?

Absolutely not. 10.5" is going to be huge in the back of an S13.

If you only want to roll the fenders, you're going to have to run a crapload of camber and stretched tires. The proper way to do it would be to pull your fenders.

Not even rolling them is completely out of the question.

Not at all true.

I daily a 10.5 in the rear and I don't even rub.

To OP, get the wheels from wheelreplicas.com. They have a lower offset 10.5 (20mm) which is what I have and have no issues clearing coilovers. I have x9 +24s in the front. They only needed a few mm spacer to clear coil in the front.

*Yes, I know I have overfenders, but the metal underneath them is rolled and slightly pulled.

It really just depends on what the offset of the wheels are, how much tire you want to run, and how much negative camber is acceptable to you.

Just re-quoting for clarification.

It's not going to clear easily on stock fenders.

Here's an idea of what to expect:
Image
17x10.5+27 with 245/40's.

Image
17x10.5+27 with 225/45's.

So yeah, looks more like anything more than a 225/40 is gonna need a roll unless you want crazy negative camber. I mean, its doable, OP... It's just not what I would do. I'd mount on some 255/40's and pull the hell out of the fenders...
