THe difference with this car is that I do not want to get into springs/struts. My goal here was to keep the car as close to stock as possible because with me....one thing leads to another.
I really want to keep the overall size of my wheel right now. I do not want an extreme low pro tire, but I do want 20s or 22s. I think I will get a fatter rim for the rear because it looks better. Does anyone have 20s with a size 40 tire rather than the 30 or 35 extreme low pro?
Does anyone have 22's on the stock suspension?
This is a loaded question my friend! Unfortunately, with 20’s or 22’s you will not be able to deviate too far away from the recommend tire size. You have the right idea by going wider in the rear. Looks more aggressive and handles like a dream. Now, as for going 40 wide in the rear, you may have an issue, especially if you are considering 22’s. As you can see in my sig I have 20’s with 35 series in the rear. I originally wanted 265/40 in the rear and 245/45 front, but they quickly talked me out of it because it wasn’t the recommended application for the car. With my current setup of f245/35 & r265/30 the car rides cherry! I think the lager we go with these rims on CARS the less room we have to play with sizes. In my opinion if you were to go with a 40series 22 it may look odd. I do not think there is any way of getting around using a low pro tire, especially if you want to keep the overall size of your wheel close to what you currently have stick with 20's, but you are going to be forced into a low pro tire. I doubt if 245/50-20's will look good and plus you want them stagged, right? You gota make a choice. Good luck on the setup
