I went with 20"s on my sedan. I hate having wheelgap and Eibach's springs didnt dramatically lower it so i went with 20"s

The smaller the rims and tire the better traction you will get in bad weather- especially snow.

I should have gone with 18's instead of 19's. I love the look of 19's but they are so fragile against potholes due to smaller sidewalls. Already got one damaged rim and another is bad shape as well. Right now I got 16's stockers back on for winter.

should have gone with 18's!!!

Well the quality issues found on larger rims could be avoided if you get forged ones... but of course price goes in as a factor.

I haven't put them on since its the winter now, but I have a set of 19" Volk GT-S but i believe they should have no problem with the pot holes here in Chicago as my friend uses his 19' BBS R-GT are on his Talon year round, snow or sleet and its still running great after 3 years.

Yeah...i think you get what you pay for. My 19's and tires are cheap.

I was wondering the same thing.. To me 18's look to small, 20's look great but would have to run a thinner tire. So I got a set of nismo 19's which allow me to run a 245/40/19. This will give me enough tire, and since these rims are forged, should not have to worry as much about denting a rim

Short and sweet think 19's are the way to go

This is the same exact thing I was thinking. For a car as big, bulky, and husky as the Altima you need wheels that match the body design and if you get rims that are 18 not only do you not fill the wheel well space but you'll have to get fat tires and still be left with wheel gap.

It's a compromise really. Currently my cousin wants to go 18 on his 08 but I'm trying to convince him otherwise. I'd prefer he go's 20 but he'd be too worried about potholes and such when really he shouldn't when I'm running on 35 series tires and my frame is 3in. off the floor.

So the middle ground would have to be 19 I'd say. Fill more space all around and you get to the peace of mind with a thicker sidewall but nothing huge.

i deff think 19 and 20's would look better, but i drive in Brooklyn and the roads are so bad. If i would go bigger i would need to repair my rims every couple of months. plus with 19's the ride would be even worst, i feel evey single pothole with 18's
