Hi, I have a Black 06 G35 coupe 6MT. I'm kind of a noob when it comes to doing anything aftermarket with my car (I have a in-dash nav, that's about the only thing I've done).

Anyway, can anyone give me some suggestions for rims and tires? I checked out tirerack.com and looked at Gruppe-S.com (which is located near where I live). I'm thinking I want black rims and I like the clean look, nothing too "bling".

Right now from my limited internet perusing, I'm thinking possibly the Enkei RPF1s, Work XT7s, or Enkei NTO3+Ms. Does anyone have any thoughts on these or any others? Any thoughts on tires as well? I'm thinking of either sticking with the stock Bridgestones, Hankook K110s, or possibly Nittos for tires. I live in Southern Cal. so weather isnt an issue.

As far as the price on the wheel/tire set, I'm thinking of spending around $2,500 - $3,000 (less is great, is possible to get something good for less). Any help you guys could give me would be awesome... Thanks!

MMR GT-1's are sweet...black with the polished rim

you would want to get those in the 5x114.3 size though.

I would go with the TOYO Proxes 4 or the T1R's

They are both good, the T1R's are a little grippier with a lot less tread wear

It's my humble opinion (and quite a few others if you read the threads concerning tires and rims) that the black on black look just doesn't work. Why spend all that money when the wheels just disappear into the body work of the car? The best looking wheeels I've seen posted here on a dark car (not sure if it was slate blue or black) were the Zenetti Masquerade. Go to the general discussion area and look for a thread entitled NEW PICS TIRES, RIMS AND ROTORS). I also like the Zinik Z27 Sofin (Chrome with black inserts). Go to the Zinik website (Sorry I don't know how to provide the link) and there are picures of the Z27 on a black BMW and more accurately for us on a 350Z. As for tires I can't really help you there. I live in Indiana and had nothing but A/S on all my Infiniti's (I30t,G35 coupe, G37 Journey).
