Im in the market for a set of 17" rims. Im currently looking at a few sets at Wheelsnext besause of the price. I really dont want to spend more than 900 on rims/tires. Im pretty sure that the ones I have looked at are only 7" wide with a 42 offset. The combo comes with 205/40s. Im pretty sure that I can upgrade this tire to a 215 or 225. What are you guys thoughts on running that wide of a tire on a 7" rim? Will some of you post some pics of your 17" tire/wheel combo with sizes? Do any of you know of wheelsnext.com? Are they reputable? They say they give free shipping, free springs (which Im sure arent the best in the world, but I'll use until I upgrade), and 1 yr replacement on 1 wheel. So it sounds like a good deal. I dunno, will I be wasting my money? If so where do I shop?

As far as what I want out of my rims....I dont really want to go too extreme in any direction. I like all aspects of racing, but will mainly be autoX. Some drag and, maybe SOME parking lot drifting :ylsuper

Buy from TireRack, whose site can be found in the left hand sponsor column.

Search this forum for Grant's contact info. He's our man at the TireRack, and he's helped a number of members.

regardless of who sponsors this forum, and who I decide to get wheels from, I would still like to see some pics of wheels/tires with sizes
