Im going to be buying 20's soon for the path, but im wondering if any of you know a shop or chain that will test fit rims before you buy them or is this something out of the ordinary. If so anything around the eastern PA area, close to allentown in new jersey?

Thanks.

As far as i know, all legit rim shops will test fit your rims.... with or without tires.... ive done it like 10 times... if they dont, then they are losing sales!!

If it is anything like in my corner of the world (canada), nobody will accept to rim a tire on a new rim to test fit. It is usually, if you do this you have to buy it... good luck...

ya with all the dudes around here running 22's and bigger, test-fitting is a must!!

i should note that they only test fit rims that are in stock. also, i go to independent rim / tire shops, the chains are too much of a rip off! Around here, the major tire chains are like double the price and the only difference is that the floors are spotless and the bathrooms are clean. The tire shop i go to is filthy and the customer couch has springs sticking out of it

One time i was test fitting a 17" rim and the center bore was too small. I tried to tell the guy but he was like NO ITS OK, WATCH tighened the lug nuts with impact gun and the bolts from the nissan hub pressed into the rim and made six little cracks LOL

i passed on that deal! Didnt cost me a penny to see a rim get damaged haha

My new rims were not test fitted but guaranteed by the shop I bought them from. They ship anywhere and have awesome customer service. Performance Plus The main reason why I couldn't test fit was because they were custom drilled and bored out. They were way cheaper then any other shop within 150 miles of me.

A lot of rim shops have the software where you can pull up your vehicle and see them on your ride. Tirerack.com does this also. If I remember correctly, you can select color and if it's lowered or raised. If you can't get them to test fit I would check for the software. if they don't have that either, I would go somewhere else.

But it would be easier if my ride was stock, now that its lowered i want to test fit them to see how big of a tire i can fit and stuff, offsets and if the tire will rub against the strut, bore size stays the same so thats normal, and rubbing issues, but that would be easy to workout once you test fit a 20, you can get an idea of what kind of tire you can put on. but yeah thats the main thing im looking for.

edit: Empty V, thanks for the website you gave me, one of the ones i didn't come across yet and good prices, looking thru it now.
