Allright when i bought my car the rims where all messed up. so i am wanting to paint the rims black. but there are some deep scraches so i am wondering if bondo would work. please let me know

dont put bondo on your rims... that would just be rediculous. if you want your rims to really look good, buy different ones. if you are ok with the scratches and the rims balance out ok, then just paint them and live with it.

actually many alloy rims are repaired with bondo... belive it or not. It all depends on how damage the rims are.

As long as you scuff up the area that the bondo is going to be applied to you should have no problem. I did the same to repair my Gram lites because the previous owner curbed one. Go through all the same sandpaper grits you would if you were repainting the car. You may want something a little tougher than automotive paint, I used appliance epoxy. A year later, you cannot even tell there ever was a scratch on my Volks.
