Hey all,

Recently got a 1989 240sx fastback in prime condition.Want to swap out stock rims for 5zigen fn01r-c 17x7'sI had a hard time finding 35 offset ones. Will the 42 offsets work? Using the offset calculater and looking at the space available, it doesn't seem like the wheels will fit in the front. I've read through the sticky's and most relevant posts, and still am unsure.

All suspension parts are stock.

Thanks!

It would work but +35 would be better. You can always get spacers, but I'd say be patient and do it right the first time.

I would avoid spacers and try to get the correct offset. The 35mm is the way to go if you can find it.

w00h000! I didnt even ahve to get involved with this one(well I guess I did anyways) good to know my "get it done right the first time" mantra is shared with the guys (of course, dori and grant are probably even more knowledgeable than I...but hey!)

stick with the +35, and you'll be happy.-chet

Alright guys, I'm trusting you on this one. Instead of getting the 17x7 with 42 offset, I finally tracked down some 35s. Its in my state, so I have to pay tax, and I have to get the tires seperately, but i figure its better than dealing with problems later. Thanks for the help!

Would 17x8's work with the +35 offset on the S13?

well, according to the 5zigen site, the +35's were made especially for the S13's. The 17x7's were for the front, and the 17x8's were for the rear (or so they say). I don't see why the 18's wouldn't work for the front also.

a 35 offset on an s13 and a 8" wide wheel=scrubbing.

stick to a 7" front and 8" rear.-chet
