Rim Help, explanation?

ok well flame or not idgaf i just wanted to know what all of this meanti have a 1993 240sx hatch that is bone stockkkand i have looked at rims but i dont know what all the fittment stuff means17x9+22 with 245/40/17 like that for ex.i know what the 17 means and the 9 but not the restso can someone help me out please

and i didnt use the search thing because i thought id get a better and faster answer making a new threadso help me pleasee

ok well that explained alot but what is the offset and the sidewall?i feel like a dumba** asking this

That should help explain offset.

Sidewall is the side of your tire, as in how tall or short your tires are vertically. The lower the sidewall the thinner the tire will be and vice versa.
