before anyone suggests to use the "flashing red button" up top, i already have. it's also kinda hard to search for something you wouldn't really know how to word. anyway, i want to get eventually get some 18" staggered set of rims. what i want to know is, will it clear the little perch on the front shocks? i have 16" rims on my fb now with 225/55/16 tires and it barely clears, but the offset is +38 tho (honda offset). would it be possible to clear 18x8.5 in front and 18x9.5 in the rear with a +35mm offset all around? or will i have to do the inevidable and buy coilovers? any positive feedback would greatly help because i've heard alot of different opposing arguments. so i thought id go straight to the experts. thanks again guys.

If you are intent on keeping shox/struts, a +35 should clear. What width and offset are your 16"s ? Normally I would have you do your own math, but I will be playing with tire sizes this weekend anyway, so I will help.Secondly I would advise against going with 18" wheels. You would be pushing it at 17" but if this is what you have your mind set to, so be it. As far as the spring perch, try and keep your tire diameter at about 25". Something in a 225/40 for the front and a 255/35 rear.

right now i have some wack rota c-8 at 16x7 +38mm on 225/55/16 es100's. my suspension setup is KYB - AGX's and TEIN S.TECH springs. (an extremely common setup on 240s. the drop sux tho. 1", 1.5" drop maybe. i plan on getting these for drifting someday since big and wide are a prefferred choice by all pro D1 drivers. btw, what do you mean by keeping the tire diameter at 25"?

what's the width and offset on those rims? also what tire setup do you have for the front and rear? does it drive any harder? i.e. over steer? bigger turning radius?

in the back it will clear, you need 5mm spacers and small tire for the front
