Do this ^^^simmode1 wrote:A small slip-on spacer should be good enough. I'm talking 5mm to 7mm...
That's what I thought too. You know what I just thought about? The sway bar is still on and I only have one coilover on at the moment which in on the front driver side. The front driver side is in the air while the other side is still on the ground. Would that cause the wheel to be pulled into the coilover at all?OutToWinPAHC wrote:You need to be at +28-+31 on a 8 inch wheel with most coils. 5-7mm spacers should be perfect
Is the wheels universal lug patterns?Caveit77777 wrote:Well that was a damn helpful post. Thanks. As for spacers now I'm looking at the ones with the studs already on them. I get that you put them on your existing hub and all but the studs on the original hub are longer than the spacer. Do I just trim the original ones down so the wheel can sit flush on the spacer?
My 17x9 +22 rubbed my coilovers in the front ever so slightly with a 245 tire. A 5mm spacer (and extended studs for peace of mind) left me with the little bit of clearance I needed.zooopreme wrote:Because we're on the subject of coilover clearance, what are optimal offsets for 9"-10" wheels? Is there a thread that I can look at?
All coilovers are different. Some allow for more backspace than others. It's something you can't really know until you get your own hands dirty with your own particular setup, unless you decided to copy someones else.zooopreme wrote:Because we're on the subject of coilover clearance, what are optimal offsets for 9"-10" wheels?
