I just ****ed up my rims the other day, and i was told that i had to buy new rims but i could use the same tires. My tires say 215/40, would those fit onto 17x7?

If you f'ed up your rims your tires are f'ed too. Go smack the person who told you otherwise.

215/40/17's will fit nicely on 17x7's.

im guessing you messed up your stock 240 rims which would make them 15 or 16 inch rims, which would not fit on a 17. If you messed up a 17 inch rim, then the tire would probabyl fit. You will probably want to buy a new rim and tire/rims and tires. Ps if your interested there is a place is IL, somewhere by me that fixes/paints rims, and sells factory rims. They are called wheels amercia, i had them powder coat mr7's because they weren't available in black. They look nice, and i have a lifetime waranty on paint bubbling/peeling. Let me know if you want there number.

see, tires are soft, rims are not. I fawked up my rims in my civic before. It chipped about 1/3 around the outter ring, and it still hold airs and my low profile was fine.

My tires are on 17's right now, i got a flat on the back left but the two back rims got messed up. The other tire seems to be perfectly fine.
