Would this fit ok?

16x8 +15 offset 4x100/4x114 tires: 195/50/16

They are Sportmax...I know... but they are within my budget.

It's 8 inch wide, so you can go with wider tire. 235 is perfectly square and 195 will have stretched look. I would look into 215-235 depending on your suspension setup.

if your car is really low then keep the 195s, if your car is not really low, go with a 215 or 235

My car has a stock suspension. I found out it comes with gt champiro 195/50/16 tires. Anybody heard of those tires? The guy is asking for $550 and it is quite a drive. I wonder if anybody has purchased similar rims with tire packages for close to that price. According to the seller, the tires have 1000 miles on them. Thanks for your replies.

Thanks. I found that too... I was just wondering if any of the guys here had first hand experience. For $550...you think I should take them?

Pics of the rim please. 16x8 +15 size is not bad at all. If it were 17 inch, that's pretty good size.

not a bad deal. if you are looking for after market wheels i would probably jump on them. those tires probably have a stretch on them, which is a + in my book, although imo stretches only look good on cars that are super low and need it for fitment purposes. Either A) slam the car as close to the ground as you possibly can or B) get a little bigger tire like a 215 or 225 45 16

Forgive me if this is a newbie question. What is the offset of the OEM rims that came with the 240sx convertible? Ideally, is that the offset I should be looking for in aftermarket rims?

Stock is around +35-+40 can't exactly remember.

But you should look for 0 to +30 depending on the width and fender mods you are wanting (or not wanting).

thanks for quick reply biggie. My car's suspension is stock. the used rims i am looking at are sportmax with a +15 offset. Would the stock offset be more flushed?

No the stock offset would be more sunk. For offset the lower the number the more it sticks out. the 16x8 +15 would be good. I have 16x8 0 offset and 225/50/16 in the pic below, so the +15 would be 15mm less sticking out (a little over a 1/2 inch).

Use this, I use it to know how tires/wheels will sit:http://www.venommotorsports.co...r.asp

Got the rims and mounted. Will post pics ASAP. Thanks for all your help. Now I have to work on getting it lowered.

Are Tiens any good? My Shocks are blown anyway... so it is time.

For springs, look at:

Eibach ProKitTanabe GF210Tien S-tech

All are pretty comprable.

Shocks, the main 2 I'd consider:

Tokico HP blue (non-adjustable)KYB AGX (adjustable)
