Hi.

I am looking for some new rims for my car Euro MaximaQX 2003 (Infiniti I30 01) and found some nice ones. (The size I am looking at is 19). But the only troubble is that I cant decide what tires size I should get. Here in sweden I can get 245 cheeper then the 235 so is it any troubble with the 245? (been looking and searching on forum but couldnt find the info, any link is helpfull.

Thanks

im running 245/35/19 and i have noticed a drop in gas mileage, i think from there being more rubber on the ground or something. handles nice though.

You shouldn't have anything to worry about. It's a mere 5mm on either side of the wheel.

im not a super big fan of rims designed that way unless its on a compact sedan or coupe, may look good though you never know until they are mounted. i got some lexani vpII 3 piece that look sweet, nice beefy rims.

Not 100% sure but it should be 40. because it is standard on my car, according to my instruction book. But I have seen that some sell them with 38 too. I asked the company that sold me the rims if they fit my car and there was no problem. But they didnt know if 245 did fit, but 100% that 235 do fit.

Hope the offset is the same there as here, I have seen some pics of the max GLE with the same nissan original rims as my max. So I guess it is the same offset.

Sure can understand that. It´s like puting 20 inch spinners on an 350z/G35. But I like the sporty type rims, was going for some even more sporty ones before these. But I chose these because the price, they were on sale with 40% drop in price. from $457 to $277 inc tax (25% tax) each. They are "cleaning house" last years models.

That probably has more to do with the fact that you have 19" rims than the slight amount of rubber.

I'm still debating about staying with 19s or dropping down to 18s on my G35.

when i first got the rims i was running 235 all around and had no gas issues then i went to 245 and started noticing the gas issue. im just speculating, i have spent about $1000 trying to figure out why i ony get 280 miles to a tank freeway driving.

im gonna try the seafoaming and also change out the knock sensor. what irritates me is everytime i take it to the shop they tell me my car is perfectly fine, its been a complete waste of money. i have an 01 i30 not sure if that makes a difference with the maintanence

The year shouldn't make too much difference. I think the major change they made to the engine for your year was the intake manifold.

Just try cleaning everything up and testing all of your sensor.
