I've had my car back from the SR swap for about 2 weeks now and im lovin it.... did a couple minor mods blah blah. Im up here in Michigan so I decide that as soon as I get a set of 17'' Motegis from my friend im gonna put it away for the winter. On thursday i'm sliding and douche my back right wheel on a curb and snap two lug studs. No big deal just order some from Nissan right? Well the next day, the day im supposed to get the wheels and put my car away on the way out of my highschool I lose it in the ice and knock the wheel clean off on a curb. The rear quarter panel, disk, caliper, and god knows what else on the suspension is toast now.... so now its at a collision shop and today im telling the insurance company that when I hit the curb it just busted the wheel off. Thankfully I have good coverage so i'm hoping theyll cover it as a road hazard. Let me know what you think and any advice would be appreciated.... ill update as things progress....

find a junkyard with some parted out S13's and start stealing suspension parts. or you could always just consider it upgrade time :D

i just hope they dont want to investigate the accident, one because it takes forever, and two they might figure out that im not telling the truth about how it happened.

I doubt the insurance company would want to waste their time investigating small claims like this.

Unless you ran someone over when your slid on the ice, or smashed into another car and ran.

You do realize this *IS* one of those kids, right? He's like 16 with an SR-powered 240 that he obviously can't control and is irresponsible enough to "drift" out of ---> high school <--- to try to impress his little friends or whatever and fuk his wheels up, twice.

*grumbles something about spoiled kids not deserving their car*

Flame away but think about it, it's the truth.

wow you really really really really dont know what youre talking about. first of all i wasnt drifting in school, i was probably going too fast but i wasnt trying to impress anyone (noone there) and second, ive payed for everything on my car and installed every mod ive ever done. try not to be a jerk take it out on "kids" that are building better projects out there than your "auto rhs13"

Despite being impressed with your work, driving around with only 2 studs is not very senseble. Your wheel could have snapped of with just hard cornering, because the remaining 2 studs were probably damaged and operating with loads they were not made to handle.

The only reason why i took it to school the next day was to see if my autotech teacher could get me the studs quicker than nissan. still i definitely should have crawled there and back though....

I don't know how to find out the offset of the wheel after you purchase unless you find out from the company that sells them. Are those wheels flush with the wheel well or are they sunk in a little?

Alot of the time is its printed or cast onto the wheel somewhere, also as shift_oversteer said, it is probably in the 45-35 offset range.
