Right Turn Signal Problem

hey fellow Versa owners!I just got my new Versa SL w/ CVT and Conv. Package in GREY a week ago. Even went to get my windows tinted already. Something weird started happening yesterday though. My right turn signal is acting up. Everytime I use it, the light is blinking like crazy (it's rather annoying). Meanwhile, the left turn signal blinks like normal. I tried looking in the manual to see if I had touched any settings by mistake and could not find anything. Anybody out there experience anything like this yet?

I believe you're talking about the signal light indicators on the dash. When you your indicator blinks quickly, there's trouble with the turn signal bulb. Most commonly this mean the bulb has blown out. Turn the right signal light on then go back to see if the bulb is flashing. If it's not, remove the tail lamp assembly and check the bulb to see if it's blow out. If it is, replace the bulb and the problems fixed. If the bulbs not blown out or is flashing correctly take it to the dealer and have them investigate.

I just went out to the car and checked. The bulb is not blown but it is flashing very rapidly. Meanwhile, the left bulb is flashing at normal speed. Sounds like a trip to the dealer.

this could also indicate a problem in the turn signal's relay, or possibly even the BCM.

Have you checked both front and rear bulbs?

a blown bulb is most likely the problem, because if you remove the turn signal bulb it will flash rapidly indacating thatg there is a blowen bulb, i would go to the dealer and get it checked out anyways it will be free....

From what I understand, this happens when there is a reduced amount of resistance than there should be from the bulb. This means that if a bulb is not blown, it could be dying or there could be an issue with the wiring. It's covered by your warranty, so I'd make a trip to the dealership and save yourself any trouble, let them take care of it for you.

hey thanks everyone. I brought the car in to the dealer today and it turns out that it was a blown bulb.
