like the title says the right turn signal is stuck on. i replaced my right turn bulb in the front of the car and i messed with the dash gauges before testing it out. so now when when i have the head lights on, the right turn signal stays on. the hazard lights will not blink as well. the catch is that when i turn off the headlights the turn signal and hazards lights work perfectly. i have no idea what's up.

Are you sure you used the correct bulb? It sounds like you may have installed a single element bulb...

condition is called "short circuit to power"

dunno what else to say but good luck in finding that cumbersome wire w/ it's sheathing that's been rubbed thru...

green wire with yellow stripe supplies power to right side blinkers(front and rear) . I assume a wire from headlights is touching this green/yellow wire in the gauge area since that was where you were working. the green/yellow wire goes to hazard switch , intrument cluster, blinker light switch and out to the right blinker lights.

Are you trying to say your parking lights are stuck on?!? Do you have an aftermarket alarm in your car??? I had a problem with my Talon where sometimes the alarm would get all messed up and cause the parking lights to stay on after flashing. I could never figure it out so I just stopped using it all together. However, this could be totally useless information if you don't have one

when you turn the lights or running lights on , you are making a certain wire hot which is rubbing against the green/yellow wire. There is not supposed to be any connectin between headlights and blinkers or the headlights and hazard lights. There is however supposed to be a connection betweeen blinkers and the hazard light.

i have a one question about this. is it possible for something in the gauge cluster to be causing this?

trace the green/yellow wire to instrument cluster to see if anything looks wrong. wiggle the wires in instrument cluster to see what affect it has on your blinkers when lights are on.

I'm usually right. If I don't know what I'm talking about, I don't talk.

Was it an 1157? I have the same issue but my hazards work. Read several places that swapping to a new bulb did the trick for them. Not me. The 1157 i have has two filaments inside. Strange bc the back signals are single filament. Can't mix up the 1156 and 1157 though since the two guide points are the same height on 1156 and different heights on 1157. Did i still get the wrong bulb or am i missing something else that could be causing this? Thanks guys.

Please note the date and time of each post in the upper left hand corner of that post. You're writing in a 9 year old thread. Users come and go. Replies might not be forthcoming because of that. At least this show that you use the "Search" button, and we all appreciate that.

I don't know about your specific issue. Has your hazard lights switch maybe shorted? You can pop off the plastic trim around your vents by pulling on the bottom edge of the hazard light switch trim piece. Then you can unplug your hazard lights switch and see if your situation changes. Maybe start a new thread if you haven't already.
