A couple days ago, during some spirited driving, I noticed that my S13 fastback develops an alarming mount of understeer when turning right. The car is well-balanced through left hand turns at even higher speeds with some heel-toe action, but no matter what I do when going right, the instant I start rolling into the throttle I get severe understeer.

Lately, I've noticed that over speedbumps and the like, I get a happy squeak in the front passenger-side suspension on the way up, and an even happier knock on the way down. This is all new, so I'm sure something is broken. I'm running a set of aging Eibach Prokits over equally old KYB AGXs all the way around. I'm pretty sure my rear shock bodies are blown, but that's old news. I have stock 4-link components everywhere, and have been told that all the lower control arms need to be replaced. My solution will be new bushings.

Before summer's up, I'll be installing coilovers, subframe bushings and 4-link component bushings. I had planned on working most with the rear end, but now I think I need to address the front end. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

unfortunately the best way is to get the car in the air and lay on your back and stare at it for a while. then take a hammer and beat on it.

at least thats what i do.

if you have your sway bar pulled more to one side than the other, it will offset you balance as well. As it makes it stiffer on one side more than the other.

:o makes sense, also check tire pressure and overall tire wear. as you are going though a corner turning hit the brakes quickly then let off do you feel the front of the car shifting? tc rods, mine need to get replaced.
