CAR:2008 Altima Coupe w/ Bose audio system.

Issue:When using a wire to plug my ipod into the AUX port on my stereo, there is no audio coming out of the right side of the car.

I have used the fade and balance settings to verify the it is the entire right front and right rear (channels?) that are dead.

Audio is fine on all sides when using radio, xm, and cd.

I HAVE verified that the ipod is playing on both left and right sides though a pair of ear buds.

I HAVE NOT yet tryied a different media player. Nor have I tried another wire. I figured I would come here and ask for suggestions so I can get all my troubleshooting done in one shot.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!GUtset

Either A your Aux cable is not all the way in the ipod or aux input or B your Aux cable is messed up. If its not A order a new one off of ebay.

If a replacement cable doesn't work, take it back to the dealer and get it fixed. The AUX jack could certainly be messed up. However, a new cable only costs a few bucks, so that might be the best thing to check first.

I had a similar issue with a past AUX cable. If you play with the cable does it make static noises through your speakers or change volume? I would definitely go for one of those gold plated AUX cable, they cost around $20 for a good quality one but its worth it for the sound. I first got a cheap one off eBay but the sound was terrible through it and it was extremely sensitive.

I would recommend picking up a new cable from a retailer, if that doesn't do the trick return the cable and bring it into the dealer!

I also had a similar problem. I thought the cable was plugged in theAUX jack all the way, but it wasn't. I had to push it really hard to get 1 last little click, and then it worked. I replaced the cable.

I think the Jack is a bit tight, so you need a real solid connection.
