I've always had this problem with the lower left brake/tail bulb in the right rear tail light that keeps melting the bulb contacts and shorting things out. I'm pretty sure it's crusty melty socket is and has been my problem and time for a new socket. This morning half way to work I lost the tail lights and all dash lights except the headlights. It had blown the fuse luckily. I took the bulb out and sure enough, once again a puddle of silver shorting accross the two contacts on the bulb. I know that InfinitiPartsUSA sells the housing for about $142 and it looks like the socket is about $20. I was just curious if anyone has found only a replacement socket less expensive anywhere else?
