Right rear caliper always sticking

** At a Dead End ** Hello All.... I am at the end of my rope with this problem. Had a rear right inner brake pad worn down to nothing. Changed both rear rotors and pads, replaced and lubed slide pins and still same problem... Caliper piston not re-tracting fully. Then I even changed the whole right rear caliper and the rubber brake line. Still same problem. I cant figure this out. Is this a master cylinder issue at this point? Thanks to anyone that had this same problem and can help. All 3 other wheels totally fine.. I'm out of ideas. 2009 Infiniti G37x sedan. Plain stock single piston rear brakes. ( No Brembo)

Sorry to hear of your frustration.

Where did you obtain the right rear caliper that you replaced? Might be defective?

When it was time to replace the brakes on my previous 06 G35 6sp manual at 85k miles I had the dealer replace the pads and turn the rotors on all four wheels. Those pads and rotors were still on the vehicle when I traded it in at 171796 miles.
I'm sure my cost for using the dealer was higher than what you've paid thus far for parts but I never had another brake problem on that vehicle. The lack of frustration is worth something.

When it is time for brakes on my current G37S I again will be using the dealer because if there is a problem they will fix it and give me a loaner for as long as it takes.

BTW the last brake job I did was on my 55 Chevy.

I have a 2005 G35X with 98K that is now on it's 3 rd set of Rear Calipers. They keep seizing up . I think it's from the Road Salt/Sand/Deicers that are used here in New England , and it's limited to the rears due to the fact that the front wheels pick up the stuff and spray onto the back wheels. One Possible solution is to keep changing the pads , long before they are worn down , and keep the piston from sticking out of the caliper and corroding .

Dealer or some independent shop?
Why have you not returned to where the calipers came from?

Did you ever get a resolution to this? I am having the exact same problem with my 04 G35. Changed all the same things - pads (several times) rotor, caliper, rubber break line. Still have a sticking problem. Was the master cylinder a factor? Very frustrating (and expensive).

I had the same problem on my 06 G35 Bass coupe. Right Rear caliper started sticking after I replaced the pads. I noticed it after driving. I simply removed the wheel cleaned everything and relubed. Haven't had a problem since.

In some cases the rubber brake line can corrode at the crimp on the outside and almost block the internal passage. This results in a brake caliber that will be very slow to release and wear out your pads.

This was the issue on my (awesome!) 99 Altima.
