Hello everyone! I have not been on here in awhile, but since I got pulled over by a cop for not having my right headlight lit, then I thought I might as well get back on here. Now here's my problem, I am very frustrated at my local auto-repair shop because I spent $2000 on repairs for my 240sx Vert because it "supposedly" needed it. I also put a note on there papers to have them check my right head light and see if they can fix it. After countless times of having to take it back there and just getting the bulb replaced, I am fed up! They did not charge me anything for the bulb, but I am wondering if there is an easy way to fix this? I am trying to save up for a 350z, but I have to still repair my 240 vert and do not want to spend any money.

My main problem is that my right headlight will not light up when my left one does and when i put it on high beams it works just fine. I have replaced the bulb 2 times and still no light from the right headlight. Please help!

Hey

I have had this problem with two of our S13's -in both cases the bulbs bench tested good for high and low and the right low beam failed when installed on the car but the high beams worked . Check your cluster for the high beam indicator when highbeams are on. If the high beams are both on and the cluster indicator is NOT while the right low beam will not work even if bench tested OK then you need to replace the indicator/high beam switch on the left side of the column. I thought this was weird but if you follow the FSM schematics it makes sense.

Hope this helps--John

I had the same problem... left works, right doesn't. I just connected a wire from the left one to the right. Problem solved and of course hide the wire under core support. Don't know if it's the right way but it works for me...hope this helps and good luck getting that 350z...

This is usually the headlight stalk switch that needs to be replaced.

Most likely you'll see that when on high beams, one light will be on high and the other one is on low, not high.
