I installed this cover on my 2005 sedan this afternoon. Trimming the inner back corner area of the cover was necessary to make it fit. However, once it was installed, the hood would not close properly (slightly raised above the drivers side fender) with the rubber gasket reinstalled.

I was wondering if anyone else had trimmed further around the front of the piece, or if the rubber trim piece was simply removed.

Maybe the ideal solution would be to grind down the metal area that the front of the cover rests on, but I am not prepared to grind metal from my car.

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Had the same thing happen to me, but I removed the raised lip (left side of the picture). Hope that helps.
