RHD conversions aren't all that great if you ask me. It's a novelty at best. An expensive novelty. I can't remember who it was, but search 240 Gen for RHD conversion, and a guy from virginia beach posted the whole process he did on his hatch. That was probably a month or so ago.

I was going to import a 180SX (I live in Canada so its legal) but after driving a RHD Silvia I decided against it. The only reason i wuld buy a 180sx is so that I could put the engine in a 240sx. To actually spend all that time and effort converting it to rhd you must be crazy. Have you ever driven a RHD car before?

Driving a RHD car isn't all that hard, but I agree shifting with your left hand just feels unnatural. Even after getting used to all the other things like the turn signal being on the opposite side, not running into stuff on the left side of the car etc.

I guess if you want to be original go for it, but I'd say your efforts would be better spent elsewhere.

haha! I like your logic!

I had enough problems keeping a craptastic '94 RHD JDM Corolla from hitting rock faces in twisty New Zealand mountains(max speed = 140km/h FLAT OUT for 3 minutes... 3 speed auto!) - I can only imagine me putting two wheels off at the track every other corner.

<Corner Worker>Yea, that busted *** Nissan keeps dropping two before every corner... We're giving him a black flag next lap... Kick him out... No refund. </Corner Worker>

Well, it was a semi serious statement...I watched a friend's engine bay catch fire because of a melted brake master, and I wouldn't want that to happen to anyone else. He was running a bottom mount turbo too (S15 turbo at only 8psi)...if anything, replace your brake master with a rebuilt one so you have good seals.

I hear you, a heat shield is in order at some point. I have already burned my toe on the accelerator stopper screw. Don't ask me, but that sucker gets HOT with a big downpipe right there.

If everything is chrome or powdercoated, then how'd you manage to do the stock turbo piping? Its plastic, and both those methods require heat that would melt it. And why would you spend all that money on chrome and powdercoat, and still be using the stock piping. SOmething doesn't make sense there, esp on an engine with poor compression. Sounds to me like your powdercoat came in a spraycan with Krylon on the label.

Until I see some pictures of a complete car with RHD conversion, I'm calling Shenanignans.

dude post pics. cuz actually the guy above me has a point, look at the bottom of the pic, like half the **** infront of the pipe, and the other half is still uncolored. dang u got busted son.

actually hey i hav a question, i saw argued on a forum a while back...what side do u put the VIN on once you do a RHD? i heard u leave it on left side but ud hav to just drill it in since the japanese car doesnt hav a lil depression and stuff for the VIN to fit in rite?anyone know?

No BOV, Obvious side mount intercooler, and it looks identical to a stock setup, only painted blue. Even the mounting points for the cold pipe in front of the radiator. Hell, even the center coil pack cover is blue, and thats a 100% plastic piece. I also have no clue whats with the giant blue harness (I'm assuming) running over the brake booster, I've never seen that before but it look like the harness wasn't converted for the LHD setup and instead he just cut some holes to run things through, maybe relocated the ECU, and has the excess just sticking up in the bay.

I'm still sticking with shenanigans
