search a bit and you will find it......haven't done it but I saw a orange s13 with RHD and jdm front end but his shop did it for show. I would assume thats why you are thinking of it? if not i would just forget about it.

The right way:Tear everything down, from the engine bay and out of the inside. Cut out the old firewall, and then find a silvia/180sx clip and cut the exact piece out of that firewall. Have it welded back in, then sanded, then repaint the firewall.

The ghetto crappy way.Tear everything down and drill new holes in the firewall. Then cover up the old holes with duct tape.

It's not exactly easy and if you aren't mechanically inclined, I wouldn't even think about doing this.

i think it'd be cheaper to just get a JDM RHD car

Wouldn't cutting/welding the firewall mess with the stiffness of the frame somehow? In a wreck, i'd hate to have that welded piece snap out. Just something else to think about.

A good welder could make it just as strong as factory. Though really there is no advantage to this. Hard to pass cars, pain to do, only amuzing factor is pulling up beside people.

^that's very true. A RHD vehicle is very unpracticle here in the states.

I built a custom computer system for my friend's RHD Civic, we got a small webcam and molded it into the left mirror that way he can see oncoming traffic via his 7" screen. Later on we're going to try and get ahold of a small, spy-like camera that has some sort of night vision mode.

The whole setup only cost about $500. Not bad for a full-fledged computer that integrates with the car's stereo (think 80gb of MP3/Video storage :D ), GPS, voice recognition(can be run almost totally hands free), and wireless internet acces :)

Oops, sorry to go off on a tangent like that.

As cool as that is, Does it not seem to be a bit much just to drive on the other side of the car?

Pointless unless you just have to have those jdm seats. In which the good seat would be your passengers seat. There I thought of a reason to do this. :D

I think it would be sweet if you were a mailman.

IMHO, people that do RHD conversions are retarded. Tryin to look like they had their car imported. Makes no sense.

Here is an interesting factoid for you naysayers.

Most road course/tracks go clockwise. Which means most of the turns are right hand turns. Which means in a RHD car, you and your weight are centered right over the apex on most of the turns.

Given, most people want to be mad JDM TYTE with an imported/converted RHD car. But, in the right hands, RHD does have undeniable advantages.

a friend of mine has a RHD 2nd gen Integra all he did was cut the front end off his car and have someone weld on a JDM front end, had the car painted, and it looks perfect and you could never tell it was cut and welded.
