Right Front Window for the G20 wont roll back up.

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

Hi,

I have a 2002 Infiniti G20. I was working on the front right passenger door window yesterday because i was trying to figure out why does the passenger switch does not work. The driver side works. I eventually got the front window to roll down because i took apart the front window switch. Now the window wont go back up. Even the diver master control wont even roll the front right window. The driver side control will work for the rest of the windows. I hear some "Clicking noise" but it wont move. Does this mean that my motor is shot? or is there any hope? How do i unbolt the part where there window sit if the window is down? Any help will be great thanks.

Remove your door panel and see if the glass moves by hand back and fourth. It so, the guides are either worn out or not adjusted right. The motor could also be fried (if the glass feels tight) or you have an electrical issue with the switches themselves. First step is removing the door panel to inspect. Then use a multi-meter to check if things are getting power or not.

I took off the door panel and went to work at the window regulator. I order a used window regulator and a new widow switch. I plug everything back in just to test it and the window won't go up. It will go down. There is power going through the switch and window motor. I just can't figure out why it won't go up after I replace it with a new ones. Any suggestions? I'm lost.

Pull the motor out completely but leave it connected to the wire harness and switch. Does it go both ways or just one? That will tell you if it's a mechanical problem or electrical one.

I did pull the old window motor out and it would just go down. I tried it on the rear door and tested out both the new window motor, new switch and the old window motor. It all work. It goes up and down. It must be an electrical problem in the front right. There is power but I don't know where the power is cutting off. I hope this help.

Ahh, it has to be either a relay/fuse or there's a wiring fault. I would take a look at the wiring diagrams in the factory service manual (see my signature below for a link) and grab a multimeter and start checking around. It is a tedious job, but that's what I would do next.
