There are multitudes of possibilities associated with your problem. If the CEL (Check Engine Light) is ON, you can get a free OBD II scan from AutoZone (or borrow a scanner, with deposit). The code(s) will help you narrow down your problem. There are also posts in this forum related to your issue - so do a SEARCH.
It's more likely fuel starvation so you can start with the simple ones - replace the fuel filter and air filter (available from Joe, InfinitiPartsUSA.com for @ $10 each). You can also buy a fuel pump pressure test kit (available from car parts store or Harbor Freight for $30 more or less). You can then T the gauge to the fuel line and check fuel pressure with engine ON/ OFF. I think it's around 38 PSI. You need an FSM or Chilton manual for specification as well as info on how to safely disconnect the fuel line. You can download an FSM from "Infinitihelp.com ($20 for a 1-day subscription) or maybe a free download from "PhatG20.com."
A can of BG44K (@ $20) on a full tank of gas may also help. Next activity will be to clean your intake components - throttle body and plate and MAF sensor and MAF connectors. If these actions did not fix your problem, then you have a lot of things ahead of you - check/clean/replace EGR, IAC, injectors, plugs, etc...
