Hello guys,
I currently have 17" wheels, and I have Eibach's. I love the ride height and all, but now I want less tyre and more wheel.

I was thinking of getting 18 or 19" wheels, but I saw a couple of ACs with 18s and 19s, and the ride height (not wheel gap) seems to have increased with the increase in wheel size. Is that a bad choice of tyres? or does the ride height really become higher?

Ride heigh is the same for me. I even compared my 17'' to my 18'' with tires and its the same height.

It all depends on what tire size you have now, and what you will go with. You can calculate to see how much higher or lower you will actually sit. (http://www.willtheyfit.com ie. "ride height gain")

I'm on 18" and when I get new tires going to go with wider and lower side wall to keep the diameter close to what it is now.

So with out wanting to start a new thread I wanted to ask a question pretaining to the eibach springs, I'm looking to go from the stock 3.5 sr rims at 235/45/18x8 et 44 to a 245/40/18x9.5 et 22. The rims would stick out 44mm than the stock the tires would have a stretch to them. The rears would probably be ok with the springs but will the fronts rub? If I have a shop by my house install they can roll the fenders for free. They're work is top notch. What do you guys think? The rims are miro 398 te 37 reps.

44mm is only an inch and a half. to be helpful to this thread in my case going one series smaller in height but a series wider, only drops my overall diameter 2 %. Well within the recomended 3%.

you're tires is what makes the big difference.. i currently have 19z and even when i changed the width of my tires the height would raise slightly...

when i go +1 or +2, i try to keep the overall diameter [o.d.] of the tire as close to stock as possible...

this time around, my stockers on my 2.5s is 17x7.5 +45 wrapped in 215/55/17 and i will be replacing them with a set of 18x7.5 +42 enkeis wrapped in 225/45/18...

Thanks guys!
So to sum things up, all I have to do is make sure that the OD is as close to stock as possible when choosing the tyre, correct?
