riddle me this...

so, my car has been burning out ecu's. i broke out the volt meter to check it out a little while ago. i tested to see if there was any resistance between the power wire for the ecm first and suprise suprise, there was. then i started unplugging the harness to figgure out if it was in the harness or somewhere past the f3 plug. when i got to the f3 plug it broke, so it is somewhere in the main harness, JOY!!! i then moved on to testing before and after the fuse for the ecm, this is where it got complicated. i planned on testing that and then before or after the ignition, but... when i tested the fuse, the right side of the fuse was continus with the power wire from the ecm, so the left side should recieve power when the car is turned on right? but the left side never saw any continuity at all with the power, never had any voltage and when i turned the ignition on the power wire for the ecm had voltage with the fuse out!

the right side also ran to the ignition switch, to a black and white wire....any ideas? i'm going to wall mart tonight to get an inline fuse, switch and wire so i can just run a wire off of the battery to the ecm and figgure it out latter.
