the problem with this is now he is gonna ***** at his parents about how he was owned by an econobox and come back with a parent bought porche.Coreykrhn wrote:So a kid thought he was cool and tried to race me in his 2005 z4 bmw from a 40 roll. Don't the 2.5 inline 6 do 200 hp anyhow? Wouldn't a 2.5i be a pretty close if match if not better then a 07+ spec v? Or is it possible to build an even heavier car then the new sentra's 3000+ lb?VMPhil wrote:

oh and if the dude really had the 3.0 liter, he doesnt know how to drive, by all rights that should have beaten your car.
yah i really havent considered the auto transmission factor.nametakennow wrote:The 2.5i has 184hp and 175ft/lbs. It's about 150-200lbs heavier as well, so it's not much of a match.
The 3.0i has 225/214 and about the same weight, so an auto one could be slower than a Spec.
So, expanding upon my earlier statement. Auto Z4 3.0i = girl's car.

That BMW is certainly overpriced, but it still has good features like a full tuned suspension and a 50/50 weight ratio. It has approximatly 13lbs per hp. While on the other end the Spec V has around 15 per hp. Also having an auto really hurts you especially on a roll because you can't downshift.
My overall opinion, if i had rich parents i would go for a M3.
Ya but it takes it's time doing so.brkn240 wrote:
Last time I checked, in an auto when you floor it it automatically downshifts.
