I know how you guys feel about painting rims,(don't) so I thought I'd show you how it went.

I have wanted to see what bronze would look like with this color for a while, so I took a leap of faith and painted em.

I have /equipped flamesuit, so lets do this.

(Also sorry for crappy cellphone pics, I'll wash 'er up and post some nice ones if you guys are interested.)

Looks decent, how long did it take you to do?

I don't think I'd do it to my vehicle, but I think it looks good on yours.

All in all probably about 5 hours of sanding and washing and watching coats dry. Not too shabby for the outcome IMO.

I wish my S-techs dropped the car a bit more, but I love the way they feel... I'm thinking of doing the hack on the rears to take it down another 1/2" back there...

Just remember, hold on to any impulses you get to paint the calipers.

(unless its just black)

Actually that would look great, If you decide to paint anything else, such as engine cover, batt cover etc. try and post a small write up.

Haha I don't think I'll paint anything in the engine bay thats plastic, but if I really feel the need for underhood bling other than my intake I'll just polish or paint the intake manifold. As for calipers, its entirely possible that I paint em. Don't like anything flashy on those myself, unless they merit it. (read: bremos look SHMEXY)

You should, black was a consideration of mine for sure. Paint is a great way to change up your look. Just make sure you do it right.

I'm not feeling it. But...

...its a good paint job with a decent colour. I guess the colour just suffers a bit because it looks like the Sunset Orange but it's not quite there.

You should have posted (or should post) pics of the work in progress.

I really like it when somone DIY's a simple but fun Mod to their car.

But I think with Candy type colored cars you need a dark wheel.

Maybe charcoal or Matte Black.I like this example:

I agree. I think the wheels themselves look good but not on that color car.

If a (former) NCO doesn't take a jab at an officer when the oppurtunity presents itself then there's something wrong.
